Representatives from an important commission on international religious freedom visited North and East Syria in the final week of October 2020. Representatives of the US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) included Nadine Maenza, a commissioner of the USCIRF and president of the advocacy organization Patriot Voices.
