VIDEO: Syrian Crisis at Eleven Years
Eleven years after a popular movement emerged in which the Syrian people demanded freedom, dignity, and democracy, Syria is still suffering. A lack of leadership paved the way for violent extremism, a refugee crisis, foreign intervention, and instability to become the new normal. The road to peace has reached a dead end. Syria must initiate a national dialogue to chart a course for peace. The new Syria must be based on justice, diversity, equality, and freedom for all.
